2. Paisley (Prince Iaukea Vs Psychosis - WCW Uncensored PPV, 19/03/2000)

Video: Part One (4:25 - 10:00) Part Two (0:00 - 4:40)

This defence of the WCW Cruiserweight title held by The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Iaukea (TAFKAPI) featured some textbook interference by his beautiful catsuit-clad assistant Paisley, showing how crucial it can sometimes be to have a ruthless, calculating valet in your corner.

Even before the bell is rung to start the match, Paisley eyeballs and tries to verbally intimidate Psychosis (left) from outside the ring (6:00 in of Part One), setting the tone for what is about to come. While Psychosis has his tag-team partner Juventud Guerrero ringside with him, he would be no match to Paisley in influencing the outcome of this match.

Paisley eyes up her prey....
After a fast start by Psychosis, The Artist soon turns the tide and throws his hurt opponent out of the ring (9:30 in). While Prince Iaukea attracts the referee's attention by going after Psychosis's partner Juventud Guerrero, Paisley coolly and calmly watches the stunned Psychosis pitifully stumble around ringside in front of her, before bending down and delivering a beautifully-executed slap to his face (9:48) to draw audible gasps from the crowd. After a push to the face from TAFKAPI, Paisley follows up with an additional slap to Psychosis (9:55) to complete the assault and give her man the clear upper hand.

The match soon turns again though, and with The Artist lying prone in the ring and Psychosis lining up an attack from the top turnbuckle, Paisley crucially intervenes again (2:25 in of Part Two). An argument ensues between her and Psychosis to momentarily distract him from the match, before Guerrero grabs Paisley and foolishly kisses her. Enraged, Paisley rips the shirt off Guerrero's back before whipping him with it and removing his belt.

Psychosis fails to learn his lesson
While the ringside melee continues, Psychosis lands his aerial move on Prince Iaukea and looks set for the win. Going for the pin, the referee reaches two before Paisley shouts at Psychosis (3:00 of Part Two) to distract him from the task in hand. Fixing him in her gaze and further remonstrating with him allows The Artist to recover and, unseen by Psychosis, climb onto the nearby turnbuckle and land a flying DDT to clinch victory. As Guerrero tries to enter the ring after the pin, Paisley completes her work by delivering further whips to Guerrero with his own belt.

Paisley's interference clearly clinched the victory for her man in this match, and she displayed a impressive range of valet skills during this win. The two slaps to the hurt Psychosis early on in the match were clinically and hurtfully delivered, with both strikes executed out of view of the referee. The wild, frenzied attack on Guerrero after he had the temerity to kiss her would surely discourage any wrestlers with similar ideas in future. Meanwhile, her perfectly-timed intervention at the end of the match in not only distracting Psychosis at the count of 2, but holding his attention to allow Prince Iaukea attack unseen and clinch victory, showed a calculated ruthlessness in concluding an excellent all-round valet performance from the purple-clad princess.
