Shane Douglas V Billy Kidman
From time to time, a valet performance can be so influential and skilfully executed that it should serve as a lesson for all up and coming valets. This display from Torrie Wilson is such an example as she again accompanies 'The Franchise' Shane Douglas in this US Title tournament match-up against Torrie's former squeeze Billy Kidman.

Dressed in a low-cut number with sheer gown, Torrie is clearly dressed to distract and places a kiss on Douglas as they enter the ring. The Franchise then proceeds to address the crowd and mock Kidman in stealing Torrie from him, before the valet herself grabs the mic and adds to the Kidman-bashing.

With the match underway, Shane soon takes charge and a standing suplex leaves Kidman in trouble and rolling to the ropes, dangerously close to the clutches of Torrie. Douglas spots his opportunity and proceeds to choke Billy on the middle rope at 43:30, with his beautiful blonde valet watching at close quarters. Upon releasing the hold, and with the referee attention diverted in chastising Douglas, Torrie then grabs the neck of Billy and brings her full weight down to continue the choke for a full ten seconds, smiling and verbally mocking Kidman as she does so.

The action then spills out ringside, and despite some success for Kidman, The Franchise again takes charge, much to Torrie's approval. Kidman has some success though back in the ring, while Torrie can be seen grabbing a chair from ringside to use as a potential weapon at 44:50.

As Kidman continues to have success, Torrie decides enough is enough and spots another opportunity to get involved. As Billy runs to the ropes, the valet grabs his ankle at 45:34, making him stumble and fall into Douglas who executes his Pittsburg Plunge finisher on Billy. Much to the surprise of the commentators, Kidman kicks out of the pin.

As the action continues, Torrie jumps up onto the ring, but Kidman pushes Douglas into her, at 45:56 knocking the valet back to ringside. The beautiful Wilson quickly recovers though, and after a failed pin attempt by Kidman he is kicked against the ropes by Douglas. Torrie is ready for such a move though, and nails her ex-lover with the chair that she had obtained earlier at 46:00, with the referee seemingly having a full view of the impact. Surprisingly, Kidman again kicks out of the ensuing pin.

As the action swings back and forth, Douglas finally gets a chance to execute his Franchiser finisher, to which Kidman has no answer. With the pin confirmed, Torrie cannot resist the opportunity to climb into the ring as Billy lies prone on the canvas. After kissing Douglas in celebration, she then turns her attention to Kidman and at 47:10 she stands over Billy before landing a slap to his face - a gesture of supreme arrogance and domination. Prior to leaving the ring, Torrie drags her foot against Kidman before wiping herself down in preparation for her ring exit.

From start to finish, this truly was a hall of fame valet interference performance from Torrie. The verbal mocking prior to the match will surely have had an impact on Billy, with the beautiful valet mocking his bedroom skills. The in-match interference though was textbook - the lengthy choke on the ropes set the tone early on, but the trip that followed and chair assault all played a key role in turning the match in favour of The Franchise. The post-match mocking set the seal on what was a truly great display from Torrie.
